Events in 1975
A collection of incidents from 50 years ago.
A man points a gun at another man in a parking lot. They hear rustling in the bushes. A werewolf comes out. The man with the gun tries to shoot the werewolf, but this only enrages it. It charges the man with the gun. It grabs his head between its paws and pulls it off his neck as he screams. The other man runs away. He runs into a nearby pizza shop and tries to tell the people inside what happened, but no one believes him. He’s last seen running away into the night.
Two teenagers are making out on a dirty mattress in the woods. One lies on top of the other and they both close their eyes. When they open their eyes again they’re lying in the middle of a cemetery. There are a few burning torches scattered around between the graves. They see a tall man with yellow fangs. They see a short man with shining white fangs. They see both men sink their fangs into a body. Blood explodes out of it. They run away. The mattress is never recovered.
A group of men are huddled in a circle flipping quarters. The quarters keep coming up tails. They’ve come up tails more than a hundred times in a row now.
A woman has a bad dream about oil. She wakes up in the middle of the night and sees a faint red light coming in her bedroom window. By the time she’s gotten out of bed and gone to look, it’s disappeared. She goes back to sleep and has another bad dream about oil. She wakes up, still in the middle of the night, and sees the same red light again. It’s slightly brighter. She doesn’t go back to sleep. The next day, she’s tired at work, and causes a serious accident.
Three children stand at the corners of a triangle they’ve outlined on the basement floor with chalk. They raise their arms over their heads and recite an invocation three times. Immediately after completing the third repetition, a tall shadow appears in the middle of the triangle. The shadow stands and looks at all of them simultaneously. One of the kids lowers one arm to adjust his glasses. Instantly, the shadow leaps on him and starts biting his face and torso. He screams. His face is covered in blood. The figure has its limbs wrapped around him. It appears to be crushing him. They both disappear. The other two children are alone in the basement.
